From the makers of V.A.C.® Therapy, comes a pre-set system designed to deliver the right therapy, with fewer steps. V.A.C. SIMPLICITY System offers the benefits and safety features of the only proven NPWT on the market—with a single touch.
  • Promotes healing by facilitating granulation tissue formation
  • Ergonomic design is lightweight, small, and easy to use

Only V.A.C.® Therapy features proprietary technology to reduce erroneous alarms, and if an alarm does occur, helps to quickly resolve issues.
SENSAT.R.A.C.™ Technology continually monitors and regulates -125mmHg negative pressure at the wound site
  • Systems without regulated pressure feedback at the wound site are limited because they cannot sense or measure pressure delivered at the wound.1
  • Helps clear fluid in the lumen tubing to aid in the prevention and clearance of blockages
Intuitive alerts and alarms with minimal button pushes
  • Low Battery
  • Blockage
  • Leak

Easy to Operate

  • Simple interface minimizes device training time
  • Automatically delivers the most commonly prescribed NPWT setting of Continuous -125mmHg
  • Quick release canisters allow for efficient replacement
  • Multi-orientational canister allows for patient mobility and product position flexibility
  • 300ml canister minimizes canister changes
  • Long battery life (14+ hours) with fast recharge time

Patient Comfort

  • Lightweight and portable
  • Carrying case allows discreet delivery of therapy on-the-go
  • Alarms help provide patient safety

V.A.C.® Therapy is designed to help provide optimal wound healing

The mechanisms of action for V.A.C.® Therapy include drawing wound
edges together, removing infection materials and wound fluids, promoting perfusion, maintaining a closed, moist wound healing environment and promoting granulation tissue formation.
The integrated V.A.C.® Therapy System has a unique mechanism of action whereby the delivery of negative pressure through the V.A.C.® Therapy units using proprietary V.A.C.® GRANUFOAM™ Dressings, not only maintains a wound environment that promotes healing but also stimulates physiologic responses important to wound healing.
How V.A.C.® Therapy promotes wound healing
Under negative pressure, V.A.C.® Therapy with proprietary V.A.C.® GRANUFOAM™ Dressings applies mechanical forces to the wound to create an environment that promotes wound healing. These forces are known as macrostrain and microstrain.1
Macrostrain is the visible stretch that occurs when negative pressure contracts the foam.
  • Draws wound edges together
  • Provides direct and complete wound bed contact
  • Evenly distributes negative pressure
  • Removes exudate and infectious materials
Microstrain is the microdeformation at the cellular level, which leads to cell stretch.
  • Reduces edema
  • Promotes perfusion
  • Promotes granulation tissue formation by facilitating cell migration and proliferation

Indications for Use

Before use, physicians should review complete risk information and essential prescribing information which can be found in the Instructions for Use
The V.A.C. SIMPLICITY™ Therapy System is an integrated wound management system for use in acute, extended and home care settings. It is intended to create an environment that promotes wound healing by secondary or tertiary (delayed primary) intention by preparing the wound bed for closure, reducing edema, promoting granulation tissue formation and perfusion, and by removing exudate and infectious material. It is indicated for patients with chronic, acute, traumatic, subacute and dehisced wounds, partial-thickness burns, ulcers (such as diabetic or pressure), flaps and grafts.
When used on closed surgical incisions, it is intended to manage the environment of surgical incisions that continue to drain following sutured or staple closure by maintaining a closed environment and removing exudates via the application of negative pressure wound therapy.

Evidence & Outcomes

V.A.C.® Therapy has the largest body of evidence to date including over 1,000 peer reviewed articles,
45 of which are randomized controlled trials (RCTs). These studies have demonstrated positive clinical outcomes of NPWT, as well as the effectiveness of V.A.C.® Therapy in diabetic foot wounds, chronic wounds (e.g., pressure ulcers and lower extremity ulcers), and a variety of acute wounds. Some of these studies are listed below.
